A different prespective to Life

In the gym, there is a usual atmosphere of health and joy. It seems everybody knows one other and be it in the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, squash court, exercise room, etc you have a set of friends that you talk and joke. As it could be very boring if you just go through the motions in silence. Also especially when bathing, shaving, etc it seems you become less uninhibited especially with endorphins flowing in your bloodstream and freer with your fellow gym members and most of the time you are semi-naked. Topics from politics, health, sex, children, etc are discussed openly and freely. I talk on topics of health being the chief resident health adviser as I had trained and worked as a medical doctor. I have a belief that we should try to avoid seeing doctors except for checkups to see everything is going on smoothly, by living healthy lives and preach this message vigorously. I have always loved astronomy from the days of Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking, Brian Cox and most recently Neil deGrasse Tyson. I followed the Moon landings and the space probes, Pioneer, Voyagers 1 and 2, Galileo, etc and the Viking Lander on Mars. Those pictures and data they brought back were fantastic. It seems my love of space seems to be infectious as all my children read religiously all my books on space, the planets, stars, and explorations with a lot of pictures of the landscape of the Moon - the Apollo programs, Venus, Mars, and more recently the dwarf planet Pluto by New Horizons. A book by  Philip Zimbardo  titled " The Lucifer Effect: How Good People Turn Evil" came out in the 2008 paperback. Its psychological undertones were displayed in the 2010 film "The Experiment", Quiet Rage: The Stanford Prison Experiment - 1992 ( a documentary) and in the 2015 film ' The Stanford Experiment '.  The book's basis is that "good" people can turn "evil" when exposed to the right circumstances. When studied, the Professor explained the dark periods of our history, the  most terrible atrocities f rom the Holocaust, the atrocities in Rwanda, Sudan, Bosnia, Burundi, Kosovo, Albania, the Rape of Nanking, My Lai,  Jonestown in Guyana , etc. The perpetrators could be described as everyday, normal people. There is a book that just came out in January 2018, with a lot of funfairs, which painted the US president in a very negative light. The impression that the book gave was the person who had the most effect on President Trump was whoever spoke to him last. So, Steve Bannon until his removal from the job in the White House, was always around the President, to put in the last word. I had the opportunity to listen to it on audio. The book is very controversial, and according to Micheal Wolff, Donald Trump did not believe that he would win the election. I have just finished listening to a book that I had tried to read for about 5 years now. I had bought it twice but either misplaced it or had given it to someone. If it were not for www.audible.co.uk  that enable me to download an audio version of the book on to my smartphone, I would still be waiting to read it. What the audiobooks and technology have been able to do, is to give me the advantage of reading books while, running, walking, in the gym, cooking, taking care of the kids, etc. It is narrated by Daniel H. I have been listening to an audio book on the Dark Web by Bernard, Achampong and Geoff White. It goes from the murky origin of the Dark Web. Which it turns out it was initially ran by the US government covertly. This was to enable its to keep in contact with its agents all over the world and transfer information clandestinely. There are organized criminal gangs who were doing business on the Dark Web and treat each transaction as a business transaction even with a business plan, their own customer support, etc. The book gave a large amount of insight into the reason why it is and who was maintaining it. The book also talked on the rise of bitcoin and it use on the Dark Web, being the source of untraceable money.
