The Real Neil

There are 3 arms of government in the USA. Republicans control all the 3, the Executives has President Trump (also, the governors are Democratic 32%(16), Republican 66% (33) and Independent 2% (1)), The legislators the 115th United State Congress, i.e. Senate 52% Republican and the House of Representatives 55.3% Republican. In short, Trump has a majority to pass any law he intends to. To add salt to the wound, for the 3rd arm of government, the Judicial, President Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch to the supreme court; he seems to be a conservative to the core, from the type of judgments Neil had been rendering. Judge Gorsuch had written a book against assisted suicide and euthanasia; he seems pro-life, pro-gun, etc., a safe bet for the Republican party, especially after they had frustrated the Democrats under Obama to appoint their Judges to the supreme court.

Earl Warren

US Republican President Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower, the 34th President more than 60 years ago in 1953, appointed Earl Warren to the supreme court. Warren was "a former district attorney, a conservative Republican, a pillar of the country club, very much for God and mother and baseball and against sin, crime, a national health insurance system, the communists and the Democrats ". A man Ike thought will be a cool head among the liberal hotheads appointed by his predecessor. But in Ike's own words, turn out to be "The Biggest Damned-Fool Mistake I Ever Made". Warren turned out to be the champion of liberals ending segregation and starting the black revolution. Also, passing laws extended constitutional rights to convicted criminals and the woman's right to abortion. The Warren court also curbed wiretapping, upheld rights against unreasonable searches and seizures, buttressed the right to counsel, extended boundaries of free speech, ruled out compulsory religious exercises in public schools, held that federal prisoners could sue the government, etc. In short, Warren changed the political landscape of America; when asked why it had to become more liberal and inclusive, Earl Warren said, "On the Court, I saw [things] in a different light,".

Now it appears that Justice Neil Gorsuch is changing his tune and said President Trump's comments attacking judges and the judicial system were "disheartening" and "demoralizing.". Please watch this space.

The seedling of doubt - Merchants of Doubt

Doubt is the product What this book says, and the film elucidates is there is a selective specific group of "scientists" who have a particular playbook to discredit, confuse and "muddy the waters" against scientific research for their sponsors. What these group of people or interest groups have learned from the days of dealing with the tobacco industry, is that they need not concern themselves with trying to prove anything or to disprove the scientists. All they need is to seed doubt and confusion in the market of public opinion, their main motto is "Doubt is our product". As, when people are confused and the policies are difficult to interpret because they are complicated, ambiguous, inconclusive, etc then there will be great difficulty in organizing widespread opposition to it. They deliberately frustrate governments into inaction, blocking them by using their lobbyist and "experts" and hence stop all ways of finding effective solutions...

Further explaination of the universe

Stephen Hawking, a theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author, has always tried to explain complex astrophysical phenomena in simple language that everyone can understand. The subtitle of this book is "a further explanation of a science classic made more accessible". To his surprise, his book A Brief History of Time was a bestseller and was on the top ten list for 237 weeks and sold one copy for every 750 people on Earth. The book was a remarkable success for a modern physics book. Many people were asking for a sequel to the book. A Brief History of Time explained how Newtonian Astrophysics described the laws that control planets and stars' movement. This book takes into consideration the most recent theoretical and observational results. How light speed is finite and constant at 299,792,458 m/s. Since the speed of light is constant, to explain the different observations for different observers, time must be relative. Producing the twin paradox, i.e., time slows d...
